Structures of Nature

This is a large utility box designed and painted with Arts Street Youth in 2015. As part of the Youth Employment Academy, Arts Street uses the power of creativity to help youth in breaking the cycle of generational poverty in Denver communities by gaining personal and economic stability through education, arts and technology and employment training. This project was completed as an intensive workshop to teach high school to college age youth how to deign and create a collaborative mural for neighborhood beautification. The youth were all paid a stipend for their help and participation.

Renewable Academy

This is another large utility box designed and painted with Arts Street Youth in 2015 as the final project for the a soring break intensive called “Renewable Academy.” High school to college age underserved youth got paid stipends to learn about renewable energy and paint this mural near the studio on 10th and Osage to showcase what they learned.
