Edwards Riverwalk Mural - 2022

Completed in 2022 along the Riverwalk in Edwards, Colorado, this mural was designed and installed by the TriFlora mural team - Katy Casper, Grow Love, and Talia Swartz Parsell.

Working in collaboration with Betty Ford Alpine Gardens, TriFlora identified native plant species of the surrounding mountain region that are threatened or endangered, along with the pollinators and other species that depend on them for food and habitat. These ecological relationships became the foundation for the mural’s composition.

Bright, bold geometric forms create the background of the piece, representing humanity and the built environment. Layered across them are organic portraits of native plants and pollinators - a visual reminder that human communities and natural ecosystems do not have to exist in opposition to one another.

Instead, the mural imagines a landscape where the geometric and organic, human and wild, built and living worlds coexist beautifully. Through color, scale, and biodiversity, the artwork celebrates the intricate relationships that sustain life in Colorado’s mountain ecosystems while inviting viewers to notice, value, and protect the species growing and moving around them.
